From an objective standpoint Rubber Soul is probably the best Beatles album, and certainly contains some of John Lennon's best songwriting. In many ways it sounds like a continuation of "Help!" which was released less than 6 months prior, but the evolution in maturity between the two albums is staggering. If you listen to the two albums back to back its practically a coming of age story.
